You may want to take a look at the Yucatan knot as it is similar and tests stronger.

There was just a post about this in the last 2 weeks. Cal put a link to a video on it. I would do a search.

I can't successfully use a leader. I have tried every knot imaginable and have broken them all. Sadly, no leaders for me.

Im sure its all personal preference, but i seem to break all knots except the reverse improved clinch knot. Knock on wood. There was a segment on a fishing show that had Knot wars were they tested knots. I forgot what it was called and what knot was strongest

I want to start using the Alberto knot, but thus far the Uni to Uni has worked very well for me.

The show is North American Fisherman and the segment is called Knot Wars. You could probably find it on YouTube.

Haven't had any issues with the uni to uni but I'm gonna try a plain Albright, my wrapper and fishing buddy uses it with his micro guide rods and does fine. Since I'm now sporting micros I'm gonna make the switch.
