I am interested to get a flurocarbon for my 2500-sized spinning reel and I will use it mostly for soft plastics and some hardbaits weighing less than 3/8 ounces. It supposed to be an 8-pound test fluoro and cost between $15 and $25. Which one should be good for spinning reels?

I used Trilene 100% Flouro in 6 and 8 lb test for the past 2 seasons on all 3 spinning reels.It handled well but not as well as Sniper. Sniper is also more sensative in my hands. Trilene 100% is good line, don't get me wrong but Sniper just fishes better IMHO.

Spiderwire Ultracast 100% Fluorocarbon is the best I have ever used for a spinning reel.

Steve1206 is exactly correct, line diameter means more or less stiffness depending on how thin it is. I will no longer go over .009 on spinning with pure flouro.

Berkley 100% I vote for also.

6 or 8 pound has worked well for me.

I have tried, Visious, BPS and Vanish on spinning reels. Berkely 100% has been by far the best. The memory of this line isn't much more than mono. Thats were I was really surprised.

Vanish would be my second choice.

Try Sniper. You will like it.

have you considered using braid with a fluoro top shot?

I use 20 pound Suffix 832 and Sunline... 10 to 15 yards. Now that i know the knot, not a problem.

I have been using BPS fc the past couple seasons and found that it has been one of the more manageable fc lines.
I haven't used anything over 6 lb test on my spinning reels.

I use either P-Line 100% or Halo in 8 # test. Never had a problem with either one, I've tried Trilene 100% in 8 # test and liked it ok but I just prefer P-Line. I've also tried some type of SunLine flouro but can't remeber exactly which one right now, anyway it seemed super sensative but tried to uncoil off my reel so I didn't really like it all that much. Oh yeah the SunLine I tried was 6 # test.
