Line Conditioner with Braid

Post by joeim8 » Wed Apr 04, 2012 6:05 pm

Guys,

Should you use line conditioner with braided lines?

I use line conditioner on all of my Fluros and monos but just started using braids and wasn't sure if there is any advantage or disadvantage in using conditioners with braids?

I wouldn't use the line conditioner on a braided line. I'm not sure that it would have a negative impact, but I am sure it wouldn't help any.

My line conditioner for braid is GUNK LIQUID WRENCH HEAVY DUTY SILICONE SPRAY from HOME DEPOTE. I don't have problems using this silicone spray on my braid(i am fishing just with spinning reels, braid+fuorocarbon leader).

i don't think it would hurt, but i would rather save the conditioner for the problem children(floro and mono)
