breakage issues with sunline super natural?
is anyone else having breakage issues with sunline super natural?
i understand that the line is thinner but i've broken off at least three fish on 10# super natural in the last year. all while landing the fish --- while grabbing the line so that i could lip the fish (or just grab it in the case of my last one - a trout). i know i "shouldn't" land the fish this way but i have not had the same issues with any other line that i've used. anyway, the first two were dropshot fish, probably in the two pound range, and the last one, was about a 1 1/2 pound trout. "that" one took my megabass lipless with it.
thanks.

The 6lb has not given me any problems so far. I lift fish with the rod, not with my hand.

I did when I used it so that's why I stopped using it. It tends to retain a lot of memory too.

Quite a few people were experiencing this when the line first came out.
Honestly, I never experienced the problem and thought the line was pretty good...I never even caught a fish on it, but threw out the entire spool cause I just heard so many bad things about it I didn't want to risk it.

Using 10# on Core50mg7's. No problems using in wadefishing saltwater inshore.

I'm using the 12# Super Natural on a TDZ100M and it casts well and no breakages.
No problems so far, and caught several nice bass on it. Works well with a swimjig.

Re: breakage issues with sunline super natural?
thanks for the input, guys.
i may just have a bad spool. i also have spools of 12# and 14# test but haven't really used them yet. as thin as the line is, i might just move up progressively.

Same issues here with the 10# test. Just keeping pressure on the fish and the line mysteriously snapped. This happened a couple of times so I got rid of it. A little disappointing considering all the positive reviews.
