It's all marketing now. I look to Tackle Tour for the truth on fishing stuff.
I bought some 6lb and 12lb nanofil when it first came out, and tried it. I found it had really poor know strength, and it didn't work for the thing I really wanted it for, as a main line with a fluoro leader for drop shotting. Because it's not braided, it gave me almost as much line twist as straight flouro.
You get what you pay for usually, but .......

Yep, it is now all about marketing and the bottom line. That was the problem I had with manufacturer’s calling copolymer line ‘mono’. I mean, if copolymer line is mono, then flouro line is mono. So it’s all mono.
