Gander mountain line

Post by fish_finder1 » Tue Mar 03, 2015 9:43 pm

Guys gander has a new line produced by sunline. I picked up a couple spools of braid and flouro. I wonder what category this falls into for the line. Like the super flouro, or sx1 braid. Any input would be good

Its packaged under Ganders name, but states on the package its made by Sunline. I bought some of the braid, and probably should have bought the flouro too to try. Its priced really well...braid 300 yards is $24.99, Flouro 400 yards is $19.99, and mono I think was 600 yards for $9.99.

I purchased some of the 12LB test FC and spooled it up. The line is thick, very thick for 12lb test line at .013, but showed little to no memory off the spool. Laid on the spool nice and I made a few casts with it in the yard, have not had a chance to try it on the water yet, but it certainly looks usable.

I got a spool of 15 pound fluoro yesterday and spooled it up on a core 100 and it seems pretty decent so far. Will give more details when the snow stops. ](*,)

May give it a shot, looking for a line cheaper than sniper for throwing cranks and spinnerbaits.

I was gonna get some but the biggest fluoro the have is 15 lb. and the biggest mono is 12 lb. That ain't gonna cut it in the brush.

Called Gander and they said it's comparable to the Siglon line. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Isn't that a mono? Doesn't really compare in my eyes
