Japan made braid
What is the best Japan made braid?
I want to try some more stuff, so far one good one I have found with good review is Sunline Cast Away.

I don't know whether it's "the best" but I'm a fan of Sunline Super PE. It's great on all my baitcasters that use braid, and on my spinning reels I use 10lb Sunline Castaway.
I used to use an orange line called Basshard made by Line System. That was my favourite but I can't seem to find it anymore.

I urge caution here, brother. I've tried it. It's a cool color and all, but it's attributes are stiff, knotty, coarse, and very loud.BRONZEBACK32 wrote:What is the best Japan made braid?

Been using Smackdown since last season,it's been very good. Was using Samurai, but they discontinued the yellow..I feel the Smackdown is just as good.BRONZEBACK32 wrote:Thanks for the info, I will pass.

In my opinion i think YGK WX8 is the best from Japan. Don't buy it through TW though, they are overpriced, get it from Japan stores like JLS. I have used 3 different sizes for the past 5 years or so and never had a break off due to the line. All break off was with the Seaguar leader material. The lime green doesn't bleed much either because my 2 year old line is still fairly bright.
Re: Japan made braid
I am using YGK Super Jigman X8 for spinning, and WX8 Full Drag for casting. Clearly superior to all of the braids I have tried.

I have never used it, but have heard from quite a few guys that the wx8 is a better braid in every way.Pen3 wrote:whats wrong with the upgrade?BRONZEBACK32 wrote:I do want to try wx8, not the upgrade though...

Re: Japan made braid
Upgrade has higher strength to diameter ratio than WX8. WX8 has nicer coating though. So it's not better in every way.BRONZEBACK32 wrote:I have never used it, but have heard from quite a few guys that the wx8 is a better braid in every way.Pen3 wrote:whats wrong with the upgrade?BRONZEBACK32 wrote:I do want to try wx8, not the upgrade though...
