Spiderwire now marks the actual tensile strength of braids on the spool

Actually they've been doing this since the new package design several years ago but it was not until yesterday that I finally found out. Really appreciate the manufacturer's decision on disclosing the actual BS(no pun intended) of their lines, and the results from the tests done by individuals on Web indicate that those numbers indeed are pretty accurate. On the spools of Spiderwire Stealth and Fluoro-braid, it reads:

Stealth
#6: 14.6lb (4 carriers)
#8: 18.5lb (4 carriers)
#10: 24lb (4 carriers)
#15: 30lb (4 carriers)
#20: 38.8lb (4 carriers)
#30: 45.3lb (8 carriers)
#40: 55lb (8 carriers)
#50: 65lb (8 carriers)
#65: 81lb (8 carriers)
#80: 103lb (8 carriers)
#100: 140lb (8 carriers)

Fluoro-braid
#10: 15.5lb (4 carriers)
#15: 23.5lb (4 carriers)
#20: 30.5lb (4 carriers)
#30: 38lb (6 carriers)
#40: 45.5lb (6 carriers)
#50: 62lb (4 carriers)
#65: 75.5lb (6 carriers)
#80: 90.5lb (6 carriers)

Note that the Stealth is 8-carrier all the way from #30 up to #100; IMO one of the best bang for the buck out there.

Interesting. Have you got the numbers for Ultrabraid?

You mean the Spiderwire Ultracast Untimate Braid? No, I don't have it.
