Tasty vs assassin
I've been using 17# assassin and really like it, but the Tatsu is still kinda nagging at me. Guys that have used both, is there enough performance difference to justify the cost? I would be going with 20 in the Tatsu

Strangely enough, these are the only 2 lines I use aside from Defier for top water. I like Assassin a lot. I didn't find Tatsu to be twice the cost better, however it is a little nicer line. I still prefer it, but now only on my finesse set ups as I can fill roughly 3 reels with 1 spool - with backing of course. Assassin has a brief break in period in my experience, Tatsu does not. Tatsu handles a touch better, but again not twice the price better imo. I find all other aspects to be fairly equal.

Thanks for thr response. I'm not unhappy at all with the assassin, but Tatsu has still got the "best fc" hype. I may try some if I catch it on sale

Best regarding fluorocarbon can be class a few different ways for sure. In terms of management, casting, longevity, and hassle free, I don't think it gets any better than Tatsu. So in that regard it could be hyped best. For low stretch, abrasion resistance, bottom contact - not so much. People generally prefer a stiffer line for that, but that's where all the gripes come from in all those other categories.Jason Penn wrote:Thanks for thr response.
