I tried out Advance last winter in 10lb and 12 lb to allow for fishing at near freezing temps without the icing that occurs with braid. I had no issues at all with it, but I sprayed it liberally with KVD L&L the night before each outing. It's strong. No weird break-offs. Pickerel nicked it up, but no bite offs. That was just good fortune though. The diameter runs large for the test. I just spooled up some 8lb (.011") on my Tat. It handles well for me.
