Maxima Braid 8

My friend who owns a tackle shop informed me about this braid
and will be soon on their shelves.

I know Maxima Lines makes great mono and used it on my saltwater adventures.
I might get a spool or two but being a sufix braid user (832) its hard for me to try other braided lines.

Like to ask guys who already have experience with this braid to share their comments.

Thanx

Its good braid, gets soft fast.

I like TCB8 or Smackdown a bit more, but never had any problems at all with Maxima.

I've used the ultra green braid. My top choice for braided line actually, just don't use braid anymore.

832 is hard to beat, especially for the price. I've tried other lines that seemed just as good or better at first, but after a fair amount of use flaws become apparent that 832 doesn't seem to suffer from. I don't know if it's that gore fiber or the coating or what, but it really is great line. I wish I would've just stuck with it. That Maxima may just be better, who knows. You'll just have to try it out and fill us in.

Long time 832 user but I'm trying some 10# for fines and trout fishing. So far, I've liked it, especially for bottom contact since it seems to sink pretty well. It does get soft faster than 832, but it's also thinner. I'm using a leader with a crazy Alberto and found I needed to thread the tag end through the loop two extra times to get it to hold really well.
