LC Staysee 80 vs 90

Post by greatbarracuda » Sat Jun 11, 2011 2:25 pm

Guys,

Is there a big difference in performance between the two? Been wanting to try the 90 but keep thinking back to a couple years ago when I tried the 80 and hated it - they ran sideways even at medium retrieves, didn't dive deep at all, and were just outright disappointing. Needing a deep diving jerkbait (8' range) to slay some walleye!

I didn't even know they made an 80...

I fish the 90 a lot in the winter months. In the CA Delta the weeds start to die off and you can get away throwing this lure without having to clean off too much gunk. I like to throw it into the deeper channels and give it hard, fast, and long rips. (whoa that came out weird!) You'll see me work the bank with a Pointer 100, and then down the middle of a canal fishing the edge of the drop off with a Staysee 90 in the winter.
