There are many good knots. The most important thing is to tie them correctly. A poor knot will be much more likely to fail (I have observed this at Fishing School where there was a 3 to 1 variation in testing experienced fishermen's knot strength). I like the San Diego Jam Knot, or if there is no split ring I will use the Rapala knot to provide a loop at the connection. I am not sure what knot would be best for FC line. :-k

I fish my 110's w/ a palomar. you just need a large loop to go over the bait and those vlad the impaler hooks

I also use the palomar on my 110s. And on my crankbaits and spinnerbaits and hooks. Haven't had to watch a crankbait fly away and sink to the bottom of the lake since switching to the palomar.
Thanks for the epiphany captain obvious

Palomar, it is easy to tie and I've never had it fail.

Definitely Palomar and if the fish are really hitting I retie after every few fish. Those 110's ain't cheap and I'd hate to lose one just because I was too lazy to stop and tie a new knot.

A loop knot (Rapala knot) introduces too much opportunity for abrasion of the knot for my taste.

fish n fool knot for me tied to oval split ring or direct to lure. I don't like the round split rings, and if a lure has one, I will bypass it and tie a rapala knot with minimal loop size.
