A specific Nichols spinner bait that I haven't been able to find in years. Lots of good fish on that one.

the lucky craft RC's, although they are so duplicated its easy to find replacements. Although all baits that were/are killers have been duplicated.

Strike King Grass Frog…watched Bill Dance use it on his show way back when…caught my first two frog bass with it on back to back casts. Used a 6'6" Ugly Stick, Quantum Snapshot spinning reel and stren mono…casting into some thick lilly pads ... who'da thunk it.

Really close!
I didn't have the eyes like the new ones, similar to the ones linked but it did have a bead on the wire.

The one with the eyes, is a Hildebrandt Tin Roller...FWIW, most of the quality Made in USA, Shimano and other JDMs spinnerbaits from years ago - all used Hildebrandt blades at one time or another.

I've already mentioned the older pin's minnows, but I forgot about two other discontinued lures from yo-zuri that I liked.

Yo-zuri Arms Shad Micro
Yo-Zuri Arms Minnow Micro

I only have one left of each. Once I loose them, its the end of that! LOL

Maria - The First (all sizes F or S)

Not sure what is happening to HMKL. If they are producing anything.

Also somewhat unsure, what would happen to Tsunekichi. At least Murakami is working with another company Issei now.

Just discovered another one. Nories Ayu Chupi.

It is a walker, and I have only tried it once for a couple of casts. (No fish caught, and none was expected.) But I already love the sound and movements of that bait so much, that it is an instant favorite of mine.

I have a couple guys that do custom foiled paint jobs for me, have you ever tried that?
It can turn a relatively cheap bait into one you might be hesitant to throw but it makes them very unique & quite beautiful!! I don't do it on jerks for fear it might weigh them down but I get TopWaters & Cranks foiled all day!!

A few years back I picked up a Rebel humpback minnow when it was on sale at BPS. On a lark I fished it and was surprised how well it worked as a shallow crank. That original lure is scratched up and has caught dozens of fish. After I found out that they were discontinued, I found a place that had a few left and bought them all. I've tried four of the new ones and none of them fish like the original one. There have been times when I'll try one of the new ones with no hits. I'll switch to the old and get hit literally the next cast. I think it goes to show that even mass produced lures can have gems and dogs.
