X2 Their 3d vibe is the size of med. or small shad, but I can cast it a mile, since it weighs 3/8 oz. I see they are bringing back the 3d vibe name, but the baits are larger. Too bad.Dink Dawg wrote:YoZuri Rattlin' Vibe and Drum for sure. I like the whole Hardcore series.

Mark, they have a 3DB and a 3DS in the vibe, it is part of the new series of 3D baits with the B meaning big and the S meaning small. The 3DS vibe is 1/2oz and the profile is really nice.mark poulson wrote:X2 Their 3d vibe is the size of med. or small shad, but I can cast it a mile, since it weighs 3/8 oz. Cagey,
When you coil up the tail, does it look like a spiral?

Huh? Not sure about what you are asking.mark poulson wrote:Cagey,

I don't coil up the tail- I uncoil it. It comes that way from the factory and I have to break the swirl tail away from the worm to use it. You can see in the photo above the tail comes attached and has to be unattached to use.
But it looks like a spiral to me but what do I know?

I was asking how it looked when it was first poured, before it got stretched out.Cagey wrote:Huh? Not sure about what you are asking.mark poulson wrote:Cagey,

Re: Your Favorite Discontinued Bait
Yes they are coiled up when new out of the bag and have a small connecting piece you have to break off to open up or unfold the worm for use. I suppose that is how they intended to maintain the shape of the tail for a consistent use?
Mark can you see the image at the bottom of my post above? It shows how they look right out of the bag.

Re: Your Favorite Discontinued Bait
I have a stash of those and auger tail worms, they brought back the auger tail but the Mannipulator is still discontinued. That was a fantastic worm, I'm glad I still have them as I caught a good amount of fish this past summer using them in junebug.Cagey wrote:

They had triple tail swirl action second to none! I liked them because they were half worm and all action tail!
Thank god for ebay!
Ten years after being discontinued and I can still get them! Today I have probably 12 bags of them stockpiled up.
Re: Your Favorite Discontinued Bait
I caught a lot of bass on them too! I contacted Mann's about them and was told they have no plans to bring them back on the market because as they said there was not enough of a demand for them, but I did find a UK website selling them:

I can see them now, Cagey. That's exactly what I thought you were saying.
Thanks, and thanks for the link, too.

Another worm I use to catch a lot of bass on as I recall was a culprit worm with a velcro patch embedded in it called The Sticky Worm.
I actually landed a small bass with just the velcro stuck to his tiny teeth. The hook had fallen out at some point and I guess he had tired out and gave up and made it easy for me.

That sounds like the stickum that the receivers used to use in the NFL, way back when.Cagey wrote:Another worm I use to catch a lot of bass on as I recall was a culprit worm with a velcro patch embedded in it called The Sticky Worm.

Stickum. That reminds me of Fred Balitnikoff and who is old school enough to remember (The Judge ) Lester Hayes and Paul Warfield.
