New lures your looking forward to using?

Post by biggs » Mon Feb 02, 2015 6:35 am

I'm sure for most northerners they have been on a bit of a buying spree with winter in full swing. Just curious what new baits you guys are looking forward to using this year?

For me it goes as follows in no particular order.....

Duo Realis Jerkbait 110
A couple of Duo spybait colours that were not available in my area
Jackall Pompadour
Some new 110s
Jackall Dowzvido's

Not hardbaits but.....

Mb Mag Draft 5in and 6in
Savage gear 6" line through trout

Come to think of it, I haven't gone too crazy in lures. I've picked up a couple new reels and a new rod mostly.

I have a few new ones, but the one I'm pumped up on is this little bitty Lucky Craft SKT Tiny crankbait. 1 1/2" long and 4 g. I like smaller baits and the quality and craftsmanship on these is very nice. Hope it performs as well as it looks.

I'm looking forward to using my newly acquired jerkbaits as well as messing around with some lipless cranks and deeper diving cranks too. Then there's the shaky heads and plastics that I picked up for a song, not to mention the drop shot equipment and lures I picked up.

And it's only February... This off season has been expensive already and I haven't even been to a single fishing show yet :big grin:

I don't live up north lol. But I want to try the keitech crazy flapper. I bought some rage bugs a few months ago (I know they have been out for a little bit). But I'm probably gonna use them shortly. Also jackall is coming out with a cool new jointed bluegill swimbait at the classic. Other things I'm trying but not new this year, fat ikas and jig rig

Don't know if it is new or not, but I can't wait to fish my Gantarel.

I'm looking forward to the shadow rap myself, I'm really the Yo-Zuri 3DB and 3DS series baits that I got to use last year so this year I'm adding the 3DB square bill, the 3DS popper and the 3DS medium running crankbait. I'm hoping to get to try the new Bagley offerings like the Rattlin' Killer B and the Knocker B but I'm not sure when they will be released.

If only this thread was in the enthusiast and import tackle subforum,

Jackall Chubble SR
Issei G.C. (Green Crayfish) Minnow 89

are by far the most interesting hardbaits to have their dawns on the shelves on the period to come.

The Chubble looks like our regular shad shaped minnow walk the dog underwater with some body added to it, hence the name. It was presented at those jdm tackle shows in several cities with other cities to come in the following days as the Jackall Chub.

The G.C. MInnow 89 looks too much like a Tsunekichi to not blow minds already. It triggers violent attacks because it's action is indeed what an enthusiast would expect. It weighs 8 grams and it comes in a few but quite lightish colors. Jerkbait like.
