What do you guys do with your hard bait box?
Keep it or chuck it?

Depends on the lure. High end baits I will keep, others, I chuck it.

chuck it.....
i have about 600 hard baits (as I also troll the lakes for trout, walleye, etc). As soon as they are out of the package, they are gone.

Pitch them. I have enough crap lying around the house. I've been buying/using a lot of the newer Yo Zuri stuff lately, and it drives me completely batty how they strap the trebles to the packaging with bread ties !

I'm with you Hogsticker!!!! I chuck the boxes and I remember when I got my first Yo-Zuri 3DB Prop, I opened the box and the cardboard pulled out and I couldn't believe they used bread ties to hold the hooks in place, it drives me nuts too!!!Hogsticker2 wrote:Pitch them. The boxes go straight into the recycling and the lure goes straight into it's storage box.

funny story on Yozuri tying their hooks together.
I use the crystal minnow a lot for salmon fishing....and we start very early in the morning - in the dark.
Put out a brand new clown crystal minnow and started trolling....slam, rod goes off, goes slack...pick up the rod, feel the lure working, but it back down....a minute later, slam, rod goes again....same thing.
this time i bring it in to find I didn't untie the hooks....tough to hook a king salmon with your trebles tied together

may ought to keep 'em, guys. a chapman branded box brought $25,000(twenty five thousand dollars) to some elated ebay seller from a guy with deep pockets in recent years. regularly lure collectors are getting big bucks for boxes in good condition.

I toss em. All my MB baits go into a Plano tackle box. The one that's angled and about 4" tall.

Toss them. Enough problems trying to find space for all the reel boxes.
Re: What do you guys do with your hard bait box.
For the most part i get rid of them. If i buy multiples of baits then i generally keep it in box until i need them!
Re: What do you guys do with your hard bait box.
Throw 'em out, and get some cheap hook covers off of amazon.
