Which shorty/shower Blows style bait brand is the best?

Never owned that style of topwater bait.
Which one do you think is the best to have and what size?

Cotton Cordell Pensil Popper


Probably some more brands on the market making similar style baits, can't remember those.

These baits are probably a little new to get much feedback on comparisons. A friend of mine sent me a picture of an 8.5 that he caught on the Ima last week, but I have no experience with it. I've caught a few on the Evergreen and it is really popular at some of our lakes in the west. I don't know anybody that has fished all three long enough to give comparisons.

These baits get brought up every once and awhile, but where seems to been little information by believers. I love topwater and would be happy to hear more.

I love the shorty, caught a lot of fish on mine.

For the record there's also the LC Gunfish 135 that's similar.

SB Shorty is my favorite walking bait, similar to Gunfish but a bit bulkier. Very well constructed and nice hooks. Great smallmouth lure...

i HAVE THE L/C version but havent really had any noteworthy catches. it very easy to walk in place though.

The evergreen shower blows shorty has taken over as my favorite walking bait. This was formerly occupied by the megabass giant dog x. Caught my biggest bass last year on the shower blows shorty which was just a few ounces smaller than my personal best largemouth.

I threw my Showerblows shorty for the first time yesterday and I was really impressed. I like the three hook design in a small package. It also has a very tight walk, meaning it will walk side to side without moving too much. From the looks of it it also sits at about a 45 degree angle versus 80 to 90 degrees compared to a Sammy. I will be picking up a few more to add to my collection.

i've used most of the similar baits and believe they all have their own pros and cons but all i like the lucky craft chrome gunfish 135, ima little/big sticks (bone & chrome) and for course the eg shower blower (bone). but its just my 2cents

Anyone use the lucky craft gunfish 117? Different profile than the other gunfish.
