Replacement Treble Hooks for Lucky Craft Pointer 100SP

Post by Greg64 » Sun Jan 03, 2016 8:04 pm

I need to replace the treble hooks on a Lucky Craft Pointer 100 SP. Does anyone know which hooks I should use in order to maintain the lure"s balance and characteristics?

Thanks

The Owner ST-36 size 5, in fact if you search hooks, there are only a few brands that make a size 5. I was originally using size 6 and size 4 Gamakatsu trebles but nothing worked exactly right and then a friend told me the use a size 5 and so I found the Owner stinger and I stuck with that. If I was going to replace them now it would be either the stinger or the new Gamakatsu TGW MH Aaron Martens hook in a size 5.

For the 100SP I've always used Owner ST-36s in size 4 without any effect to lure action. For the 100SPs I use for striped bass, size 4 ST-41s with no. 3 Hyper Wire split rings work well. I don't think the 100SP is that sensitive to small changes in hardware.
