Booyah is now making chrome and black one knockers and hard knockers. I talked to one of their reps a couple days ago. They just came out and aren't on the site yet, but you can call to order. Check out my thread I started for details.
My go to...
Shimano Antares 12 / 7' St Croix Legend Tournament Bass / Xcalibur XKR50 chrome/black

Not in the chrome and black, which is what I'm talking about specifically. I know the other colors have been out for a long time, but nothing works for all different kinds of species like the chrome and black.

Booyah vs Xcalibur One Knockers - are they identical baits?

Numerous posts indicate that Yo-Zuri Rattl'n Vibe is the best lure.
I went through y lure collection, and I have three different versions, and I ask which is the preferred version.

Here's what I have:

a 5/8 oz in a flat white paper case.
a 3/8 oz in the box plastic package....the back of the package says Duel Co, Inc.
a 5/8 oz in the red and black plastic boxy package.
a 3DB Vibe(s) ...not labeled Rattlin Vive.

I would appreciate more info from the Yo-Zuri guys.

Thanks.

In my experience, when they're on a lipless bite, they'll nail an XCalibur, Booyah, Lucky Craft, Rat L Trap, Cotton Cordell, etc. as fast as any other one. It's a bait that goes by quickly in a blur and draws a reaction strike. Some may excel better than others for slow downward flutters and such, but I wouldn't obsess too much about it. Pick one that grabs your attention, be sure it's got good hooks and fling that thing 8-)

It's getting to be that magical time of year ...

I've used a bunch (and bought even more) over the years. I've had some great days on a number of different brands and colors, but my favorites are definitely the XCaliburs and Team Daiwa Vibs.

As a series, I feel the Rapala Rippin Rap gets my vote. Great baits and they come in so many colors and sizes. They now make a #3 Rippin Rap!!! That bait will hammer the gills and Crappie in the spring.

For me I like the Jackall TN60 and the mazzy vib. I particularly like the mazzy's ability to work ultra slow due to having a small keel on its head.
