Vision 110 and 110 Jr with 2 trebles

Post by versus158 » Wed Jul 05, 2017 3:33 am

Hi everyone,

I live in France and here we're only allowed to have 2 hooks on all our baits.

All the visions have three trebles on them and i'm kinda stuck because I can't seem to find proper hook weights anywhere.

My goal would be to ditch the three katsuga trebles and replace them by two stouter hooks but I can't find which brand/model or size to use without ruining the action of the bait.

Any kind of help would be greatly appricated !

Try 2 x Gammy TGW #6 or use a x80

Is it acceptable to just clip the hook down past the barb for one of the trebels? Replacing the stock ones may be best though, I have broken off a ton of those outbarb ones with pike.

Thanks for your help guys, played about with some hooks and it seems like I've found something ok.

If anyone needs to do the same thing, on the standard 110 with 2 size 4 mustad KVD and a jackall oval split ring on the nose it looks like it slow floats the same.

On the 110 JR 2 mustad KVD size 6 and the standard split ring on the nose.

The oneten is used for salmon fishing in England and Scotland - perhaps you can use some rigging tips from GB, e.g.:
