Odd find @ Dick's Sporting Goods ...

Post by uljersey » Wed Feb 28, 2018 2:46 pm

I stopped in to root through the clearance bins and came across these three Japanese Duel baits ... I'm more or less a regular at this store and had never seen any Duel baits although they do carry a very limited number of Yo-Zuri baits. Of course I grabbed them, they were the only three I could find. I did a little research, the 65F wake baits appear to be discontinued, the minnow bait is still on the roster. No mention of them ever being in the US market.

I'm thinkin' those little wakers could be fun ... 8-)

I picked up a few of those, too. The surface lures you have there were the original hardcore shads. I LOVE these cranks! They come in medium and deep divers, too. The medium divers are killers. I was down to my last one and was looking for more when I found them at Dicks this past weekend. My last one has most of the paint knocked off and I have replaced the hooks a few times now. It still catches fish for me just about every time I throw it. I bought every one I could find, surface, shallow and deep divers, and asked if hey had any more stashed anywhere. They are that good.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Thanks for the heads up.

I snatched up a couple of their hardcore 65sp jerkbaits. I'm hoping they fish as well as the pin minnow.

There are bins of these at my local store too...many different colors. Maybe I should look more closely at them.

I'm in and out of Dicks every couple of weeks. We have those Duel jerkbaits at Walmart here for the winter trout season.
