Add flash to a hardbait

For those of you who build and/or paint crankbaits, this is something I just tried, and it worked.

I added some of my soft plastic violet hilite to some Createx transparent base, and shot it over a jerkbait repaint with my .035 Iwata airbrush. It shot perfectly, and, through multiple coats, I was able to get a really need effect that shows at some angles, but not at others.

I'm sure other hilite powders will work, too.

Looks great man! Those violet hues have always worked well for me in our Wisconsin waters. 8-)

It is easy to do. Just keep adding coats, dried in between, until you get the effect you want. I thought about adding more hi lite to the bottle to make it more pronounced, but decided having the option to do lighter coats was a better choice for me.
