Hmm. I can’t find any website of theirs. I bought a few at second-hand shops in Japan and see them for sale at a few of the online retailers only. I’ve never used any of mine but they look different than the run of the mill average crank we are used to seeing. Pretty neat colors too

I bought a couple off of that auction site many years back, 2011, to be exact.Jnkoepp wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:09 pmHmm. I can’t find any website of theirs. Ever use them? I should probably take off the old reliables and give them a shotJohnny A wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:13 pmI bought a couple off of that auction site many years back, 2011, to be exact.Jnkoepp wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:09 pmHmm. They are long gone. Sold many years ago.Jnkoepp wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:17 pmEver use them? Re: OSP
This is the first summer I’ve tried the shallow running OSP Blitz and Blitz max and all I can say is wow!! I have been missing out. All my little johns, etc, while fine baits, are on the back burner Indefinitely. Kind of put cranking aside in recent years in favor of other techniques as I bank fish more and more. These little guys get through anything it seems like; run so well; cast so well with that fixed bb underneath and just all around fish catching machines. I have never fished a shallow crank that made it this easy to navigate ‘messy’ Florida banks. Maybe just hadn’t been using the right shallow cranks...
Re: OSP
I can't say enough good things about the OSP blitz. I found another advantage for those who don't mind light wire hooks when battling fish. Hard to see it in this photo, but the fish thrashed just as I lipped it and the rear treble went clear through in one hole and out another past the barb. It's been a minute since I've done that. Anyway, with the light wire hooks, no muss no fuss cutting off the barb should you have a mishap like this one.

Re: OSP
the other day i had a hook in my hand..
I contemplated this and that, eventually I just pulled it out with some stout pliers..
needless to say it felt better just being stuck in my hand .. that fish was put back in
the water with an ear full

Ouch. That sounds decidedly worse than my situation. I was happy it went through so the barb passed out the other end. It’s a nothing burger then. My left hand is useless for precision operations requiring some strength which was the only issue. I had someone do the braid trick on me once in a situation more like yours and it didn’t go as planned which sucked.

One thing I was happy for was that I had some astringent and antibacterial cream and band-aid post hook removal. Something I hope everyone carries cause you just never never know when.

This reminds me of this product Roland Martin was demonstrating on his show years ago. It was some sort of string/thin rope device to help remove hooks from flesh. He was demonstrating it on, I think, a piece of leather. My gosh!...he had to use this violent jerking motion that scared the living daylights out of me.

It works. I can’t post the video here BUT I had it used on me earlier this year. It was used to take out an OSP crankbait from my head.
Re: OSP
Further observations on the OSP Blitz. I've caught more incidental bluegill on this crank than any other bait in recent memory. I wouldn't recommend targeting them with a Blitz; certainly not as much fun as on light tackle. But, it's been surprisingly consistent.
