Duo Spinbait Alpha 62
Has anyone tried this new addition to the duo spybait lineup?
Been throwing the regular edition more this year and curious about the new alpha 62.

I've used mine a few times but haven't caught anything, but I haven't put in much time with it.jerkbait22 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 7:34 amHas anyone tried this new addition to the duo spybait lineup?

I'm now trying to learn the original and was rewarded the other day so looking to pick up a few more and the alpha 62 caught my interest. What are some of your favorite colors?BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 4:21 pmI've used mine a few times but haven't caught anything, but I haven't put in much time with it.jerkbait22 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 7:34 amHas anyone tried this new addition to the duo spybait lineup?

BK Ayu, Goby, Shiner and Ghost Minnow are my favorites.
I tend to go more natural colors when using spybaits.

I seem to be having more luck with the reflective colors. I almost grabbed an extra in BK Ayu or Emerald Shiner, I will have to do that next time. The water I usually fish will typically have 3-5 feet of visibility on a given day so my assumption is the extra flash is helping them to locate it more easily.BRONZEBACK32 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 12:26 pmBK Ayu, Goby, Shiner and Ghost Minnow are my favorites.

I'm unsure as to whether or not he will write this up for the site or just share his thoughts on Instagram.

Re: Duo Spinbait Alpha 62
Finally got one of these in and threw it some yesterday. They weren't eating the spybait but I made a few observations.
Less body roll on the sink as compared to the 80's
Sinks slightly faster than the 80 G Fix
Runs slightly deeper than the 80 G Fix
Seems to have the same action on the retrieve as the 80s. I could see it being a factor when you need to reach a little deeper or want to speed up the retrieve some without losing depth.
