Experience with 6th Sense Provoke?
Experience with 6th Sense Provoke?
Interested to know how the Provoke compares to a Vision 110 - it looks like it was heavily inspired by the Vision. https://www.outdoorproshop.com/6th-Sens ... ke106x.htm
Re: Experience with 6th Sense Provoke?
The local store had them in stock so I bought one. Feels like a bulkier Vision 110; same length, but much broader around the shoulders and in the tail. 0.6oz (vs 0.5 for Vision). Less and higher-pitched rattle, less perceived weight transfer when shaking it (Vision 110 feels like a heavy tungsten ball is moving back and forth, not so much on the Provoke).
Haven’t fished it yet, might take it out tomorrow. The weight and size make it feel like more of a warm water jerkbait to me.

Re: Experience with 6th Sense Provoke?
As you can tell, the Provoke is much beefier than a Vision 110. I'd say action-wise it's much more in line with a 100 Pointer, nothing like a Vision 110.
I love my Vision 110's but I'm always looking for a new jerkbait and I had high hopes for the Provoke, but it's not in the same class IMO, with one exception- the paint. 6th Sense has some outstanding paint jobs on the Provoke that I wish were available on the Vision 110's. I guess I shouldn't knock it for just being different, but I had such high hopes for a bait with the moves of a V 110 with the killer paints of 6th Sense.
That being said, I still do catch fish on them.
I will say I am glad they made the Provoke their own and didn't just put paint on knock off Vision 110's.

Thanks for the info. I did several hours of jerkbaiting yesterday but didn't tie this one on - too busy slow-fishing in much deeper water than the Provoke would run in. The paint schemes are indeed very nice, and it's cheaper (and possibly more readily available) than Flash Pointers, so this looks like a viable alternative once the water warms up in Spring. I'd love a Jr version of this baitKlingerNOK wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 4:35 pmAs you can tell, the Provoke is much beefier than a Vision 110. Re: Experience with 6th Sense Provoke?
It is one of my most productive baits. I have used one for most of last spring. Fishing around rocks and catching dozens of fish on the bait the paint still looks incredible. I love the finishes and the baits seem to be durable. Anything with the Shad scales is pretty good here. For the money you can get 2 baits for the price of a 110.
