Out of curiosity I would like to know what your top 7 ( seems like a good number) cold weather cranks are ?

Since I am the one asking this question I guess it would be befitting that I give a response first. The honest answer is I don’t have a lot of experience which is why I asked. That being said what has produced for me are
-1 Risto Raps
-2 Shad raps
-3 luckycraft Shad
-3 YoZuri crank n Shad . Man these things work but they are slow rising on floro
-4-7 just jerkbaits

Thanks in advance

I’d add the MB sonic side and Super Z to the list. Deep X are good too with a tight wiggle.

Yo-Zuri Flat Crank. This shines in shallow water. It's a tad over 2" and weighs about 1/4 oz.

I am a big fan of any of the small lucky craft cranks. The craypea is an excellent shallow and finesse crank and it comes in some great colors for trout or bass. A staple in my box for sure.

Those little yozuri cranks can catch'em. I just replenished recently.

I wish I had a great answer backed by proof and results but this is an area I want to get better at as well. My research leads me to 2 types of baits. The first is balsa made baits and the second is flat sided baits. Sometimes both if you can combine balsa with a flat sided bait.

If you are are talking about hard baits in general I do much better on jerkbaits and lipless cranks during the coldwater period. By cold water I am talking ice out to about 50s.

In no particular order...but all old lures.

A few of the Yo-Zuri/Duel cranks. They're old so I don't remember the actual name of them.
A few variety of the Yo-Zuri Bass Arms cranks. Again old ones.
A few of the old Owners Cranks.
A few of the Lucky Crafts, only use when casting distance isn't needed.
Some Salmo Hornets
Some Rapala Shad Raps...cuz I started with these.
Bomber A's...cuz they're cheap and catch fish.
