D.R. and most of the others in these parts think I'm crazy but my absolute favorite remains my Pixy/Megabass Destroyer F0-60X Elese combo:
Why is that? (seriously)

I fish in the land of stumps and giant LMB and the preference in these parts is 3/8 rebar rods and tuned trailer wenches with 1/8" stainless steel cable. I let D.R. toss the Pixy/Elese combo and he was not impressed...he had to keep looking down to make sure he was holding a rod and reel. :big grin:

The combo that Mhood has is an absolutely lovely setup if you want to catch the fish from the 100 gal tank in my library.

It is a nice set up, just not what I would call a bass rod. The reel is great (I worked on it). :D

My fishing-catchingest combo is my Powell 704ced/Revo STX HS. Put many a stringer together with that one. My lightest, that still catches a lot, is my Powell 703cef and 50Mg.

To paraphrase a line from Karate Kid: Man who can catch Big Bass with Pixy/Elese can do anything. :)

Hey nothings wrong with that setup you land a 6lb'r it probably feels like you have a 12lb'r. Thats one of the reasons why I love and named what I named but yours is a little more.. extreme.. yeah extreme.
