I wonder if this applies here. For each fish that was turned off by the use of the braid, another one bit that you were able to detect because of it.
You broke even; just different fish.

i dont have to worry about that, i tie on a fluorocarbon leader about 4-5ft long to my braid.. 8-)

Thanx for all of the replies...

Will try it this weekend tied directly to the jig with a SDJ knot...if it works, great, otherwise I will just go with some good floro line.
