Jig storage

Post by dampeoples » Mon Jul 30, 2007 7:32 pm

Got the FTO jig box, and like it....except for larger jigs and footballs, would like to see some solutions for what you guys do with the other jigs. For the time being, I just toss them in there with the rest, but it kind of kills the idea of having them sitting there, all lined up for inspection :) Thanks

i hate the jig wallet everytime i open it up the jigs are all over the place, or the skirts get caught in the zipper and rip the skirts all to hell, i just use a falcon universal box and put the jigs in it

I looked at one of the Jig boxes when they came out and decided to stick with the plano 3700 box's.

I'm real happy with the Plano Flipsider 3614. Works with both Spinnerbaits and jigs.

I'll second the Plano Flipsider for jig storage! It's easy to use; keeps jigs in their place. I take a fine tip sharpie and write the jig size (3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2) on the upper left corner of each pocket for easy identification. Makes finding the jig you want super fast and easy.

I third the flipsider!! This box is by far the best storage for jigs that I have ever used.

The flipsider is great, I also use mine for small to medium lipless cranks. The larger traps won't fit if the hooks are too big. I've fit most of my spinnerbaits but the big 1 ouncers with the long wire don't quite fit.

The only other issue I have is that it's the longest/tallest box in my bag and it stretches my tackle bag to the limit, but it does fit.

I have a few of those flipsiders, and I'll try that, but I'm pretty sure the larger stuff won't fit in there either.

Of note, I use the 3600 size, as that's he size built in storage my boat has.
