Kistler going with Fuji?

I don't recall where I read or heard this, but is Kistler going to change their guide systems over to Fuji?

They've switched out, or are in the process of switching out some of their reel seats. Not sure about the guides though.

They've definitely switched over the reel seats to the Fuji ECS because I have an '07 model that has the ECS...the guides aren't Fuji though, but are improved over previous generations..

Thanks. Hey is it me or is the tip on the Kistlers kind of big? Maybe it's me who prefers the small tips?

The rod diameter of the Kistler LTA near the tip was much bigger then I'd expected when I purchased last Winter. Bigger then any of the 20 rods /7 brands I own.

I haven't noticed that with the 12 Kistlers I have....What model are you talking about? Mine are all on par with every other brand rod I own.

Helium LTA 6'9 APC. The butt section is fairly normal in diameter but it never tapers down quite as small as my loomis, powell, or St. croix rods.
