Got up and decided to goto a tackle store that was a good ways and
got a cumra rod for $140.00. 6'8" med/hvy extra fast.
Had a brief chance to play with it. I thought it was a fake rod because I couldn't find the hook hanger. Any how first impressions was how light it felt. I had 10lb test on a curado D 5.0:1 and well I need to change reels cause when I set the hook it seemed like forever to get the fish in.
Great price, I will give further reviews as I fish with it.

Re: what a day
I like that action rod for a general purpose rod. I think they advertise it mostly for drop shotting, but I have 2 (powell & st. croix legend) that I use for weightless or light worming as well as small crank baits

I haven't been to the tackle store lately, but I thought those were about $200 rods. Interesting review.

goldrod,
I live in Jax Beach, FL and fish the Mayport jetties often. Can you please tell me where you got the rod?
Thanks, Norm
