Rod for Calcutta TE-100GT...

Post by Big-Bass » Wed Sep 19, 2007 5:22 am

I want a rod 6'6" or under for a Calcutta TE-100GT that I may be purchasing. I am looking to spool the reel with either 10 or 12 lb. Sunline Machinegun Cast, and would be fishing 1/4-3/4 oz. spinnerbaits and cranks in that same range (mostly Bandit 200's, Original Fat Raps, and LC's). Any suggestions? Thanks.

I havent used one of their Spinnerbait rods, so I cant help you there. Have you thought about a Shimano Crucial? They are good rods and they make a 6'6'' M that looks pretty good. It is made with their TC4, which is for cranking or spinnerbaiting. It also has similar ratings to the 6'3'' Loomis.....Just a thought.
