Rod for Daiwa Saltist??

Post by Ngoles » Fri Apr 28, 2006 3:52 am

Hi guys, I am looking for a rod to match my Saltist 30T. My main application will be trolling , seconded by deep fishing and jigging.

I think I will fill the reel with 50lb braid line and the last 50 yards with 30 lb mono . ( I don't know what do you think about that )

What rod can I use for this applications?

I have heard A Lot about custom rods, but I don't know if they are really good or the price of them.

What do you guys think ?

shimano have some two piece jigging rods that are also a reasonable price. they are in the T curve series. maybe under a different name in USA. as we seem to get similar products in australia but with different naming.
