Zebco 202. I later moved up to a Johnson Cast a Country Mile reel. What a hunk of junk. I used the 202 for many years until a pike or muskie pull the rod into the water, never to be seen again.

Shakespeare spinning was my first reel, it even clicked when you turned the handle to reel in, that was 33 years ago........yikes! I´m getting old. :shock:

lol i should have said when we were real small like 3 or 4 my dad told me i was reelin at 2 yrs old had no clue what i was doin, i took my duaghter out when she was 8 months old id cast she would hold the rod and reel id watch closly she would mimic me reeling at that age i have 2 girls ones a tomboy ones a prep talk about DIFFERANCES

Montague reel, 40 yard capacity, 2:1 gear ratio, braided silk line.
Luckie steel telescopic rod 3' to 8'.

Found in 1960 in the garage when my dad died and my mom moved from our family home.

Zebco 33 my grangfather gave me. I am 54 and that reel and the rod (eagle claw 5'6" fiberglass) hangs in by fishing room today.

Country Mile, then one of the Rapidfire, Quickfire or whatever it was called Shimano spinning reels.

snoopy pole was my first pole. my early teenage reel was a shimano tx2000 snapshot.

Had a Zebco 202 on a steel rod. Used it to fish a pay lake for trout and catfish. Those were the days... :)

Yellow Eagle Claw fibreglass rod & Berkeley Spinning reel
Alcedo Micron spinning reel.
Pflueger Supreme baitcaster reel

My buddy's Pappy had a Metal baitcast rod with cork grip.
Shakespeare white WonderRod was another beauty!

Then my first baitcaster, Diawa procaster (older model) I loved that thing.

Oh yea the snoopy reel then a first gen shimano sedona reel that I got for X-mas from my grandpa. :lol:
