Pivot head football jigs

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

Pivot head football jigs

Sure seems to me that these should be made with a twist-lock keeper hook instead of an offset hook?? ](*,)

Sure seems to me that we shouldn't have to pay $5 for two hooks and a couple of football heads.

Seems to me that someone could fix a jewel football weight to a wire and connect it to a hook a lot cheaper.

Seems to me that it's a fad to sell jigs to fishermen!! Part of the reason for footballheads is to stand-up and it defeats that. None for me. my 2 cents

Seems to me, I would use floating plastic on them. Then the bait would be standing up then whenever the jig was at rest rather than only when the football head is in contact with something like a rock (depending on the style of the football head).
Haven't had time out on the water with these yet, but the idea of the action imparted when "shaking" this rig on structure has me anxious.
Also thinking that this jig will be harder for the bass to throw? Maybe not.

the only kind of Pivot style jig I have ever liked was one I saw at Performance Tackle...its made for small swimbait in order to give them a better action...work great....football head, not so much
