Preferred Scents for Jigs

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

Preferred Scents for Jigs

Post by BlaineFred » Sun Jun 26, 2011 12:15 pm

I've been using the Berkley crawfish attractant...

It smells like crawdads...

I recently bought a can of Bang, but it doesn't smell like anything I've smelled before,

What is your preferred scent, if any???

Thanks...

I use a few different ones; depending on my mood :big grin: ! All work!

Used to use the Berkley GULP Alive Crawfish a lot. It "works" and catches fish; but it does not last AT ALL! Spray it on, make a few casts (or one); and smell your bait. Pretty much goes away after a few casts.

I really like the BANG Real Craw scent. For a liquid spray scent; it lasts a really long time. It's convenient and it works. It has a different scent; when compared to the other BANGs. Other than the BANG Garlic, the rest smell about the same IMO. Kind of a anise scent to them.

Smelly Jelly has a XXX Crawfish scent that's really popular around my parts; and it's a STRONG long lasting scent.

Sometimes use Edge Hot Sauce as well.

Top three are what I use. Mostly the BANG Real Craw because it's easy. LOL :big grin: I use it on everything; not just jigs.
What my name is?

Smelly Jelly is all I use. They make a few different craw scents. Any of them will work.

I prefer no scent at all. It stinks up my tackle boxes and my boat. I'm not fishing for money so I don't care if it helps catch more fish or not, I don't want all my stuff smelling like ****!

Smellyjelly or Megastrike, whichever is rolling around my feet at the time.

I've always used Bang, Megastrike, and Smelly Jelly; I've been wanting to try something from Pro-Cure this season.
