Trailer for Chatterbait?

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

Berkley Havoc devil spear is a great chatterbait trailer. I saw a vid where Ike recommended it and he was right, the tail creates alot of action and moves well plus gives the bait more weight and bulk. Good stuff

Paca or Chigger Craws 99.999999999999999999999999999999% of the time, however in the deep summer I do occassionally put on a swimbait or fluke of some sort, but it's primarily the craws.

An all around good trailer is the Zoom Super Fluke. However, around tules and grass, I tend to get more bites with craw type trailers. When fishing around rocks and wooden structure, I use a swimbait type trailer.

Skinny Dippers on Revenge style chatterbaits and D.O.A. makes a great fluke style bait for the regular Z-man style baits. Its a little thinner profile than normal flukes and the tail really quivers.

As evidenced by the posts here, trailers are pretty much limited only by your imagination.

I use the Z-Man MinnowZ as a trailer a lot. It's a smaller, 3 inch swimbait. Watermelon/chartreuse tail MinnowZ on a bluegill color Chatterbait has been very good. I saw that Z-Man has a Diezel MinnowZ coming out this year which looks to be a 4 inch version. I've also used the Jerk ShadZ with good results. Grass MinnowZ when I want a big profile. I tend to stick mostly to Z-Man baits for trailers since I fish a Chatterbait pretty shallow most of the time. The Z-Man plastic is extremely buoyant so it helps to slow the fall and keep the bait higher in the water column. Really helpful when fishing in skinny water, over vegetation or around brush.

Charlie Brewer 4" Bass Grub. Sorta found it by mistake. Lost the trailer on my chatterbait and didn't have anymore. Had one pack of these in the right color that had been knocking around in my tackle box and they worked great. Now all I gotta do is buy more.............
