Burning spinnerbaits

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

What size/style/brand of spinnerbait do you like for burning?

I'm not too particular on brands, but they need to be compact, at least 1/2 oz and with small double willow blades. Some examples that I use are War Eagle Screamin' Eagles, KVD Burners, Terminator Custom Tungsten, SOB Mini Me.

I make my own and burning spinnerbaits is what got me into making my own. Smaller frame with undersize blades, I like a double willow with a size 3.5 on the bottom and a size 4 on top.

If your fishing for smallies I had Pepper Custom Baits build me some 1oz double willow chart with chart/white skirts. I ordered them specifically for a tournament on Sturgeon Bay, I had them in 4 days and they worked flawlessly. Ended up in second place with 24.5lbs all caught burning blades in shallow water.

1/2 oz white/silver Terminator Titanium with the more willow shaped silver blades. I trim the skirt half way and put 3/4 of a silver yamamoto senko swimbait on as a trailer. Casts a mile and you can reel it as fast as you want about a foot under the surface. Swap out the main blade for a hog caller blade and it becomes a wake spinnerbait.

Strike King Burner Spinnerbait. I really like the blades they use on these, they turn perfect at very high speeds.
