Molix Lover Spinnerbait

Jig it, spin it, buzz it, if it's got a wire or a lead head, it can and will be discussed in here.

Molix Lover Spinnerbait

Post by poisonokie » Mon Apr 17, 2017 9:32 am

I was skeptical, but I got one anyway since it's been spinnerbait weather lately. I can't seem to keep the center blade turning. Half the time it gets sort of wrapped around the arm and just sits there, causing the bait to run off to the side. I think it would be a killer bait if it worked right. Did I just get a dud? Anyine have any suggestions? I want to like this one.

I have a few of these and haven't had a problem with that center blade. It does crash into the blades on the sides every now and then causing the bait to foul momentarily, but then it usually snaps back into place and works just fine. The momentary, intermittent fouling is actually a good thing.

It could be a bad swivel that is not turning that is causing the problem.

That's a good point. It seems to work, but I'll swap it anyway. I think I just need take more care when casting it honestly. A lot of times I think it's getting wrapped around the line/wire mid cast or on touchdown.
