weightless plastics
I'm searching for some craw style or creature style plastics to use weightless that cast well and sink
a little faster than others. I was catching largemouth on Yamamoto creatures, but the durability and
price per bag was not so good (went thru close to $21 worth of baits last evening). Any good baits I
should consider? Thanks, Eric. P.S. - not a big senko fan.

RI Sweet Beaver
Strike King Rage series has craws and creatures ( quite cheap ) that do a good job.

Not sure what category you would put this, but how about a Kinami Palm tree? Imitates a craw and sinks pretty fast. You can cast them a mile w/o weight and hold up better than most other Kinami/Yamamoto stuff.

I think Hi's tackle shop has sweet beavers on special.

X2 on the Beavers. Also def agreed on the Yamamoto creatures - Ive had them tear up before Ive even landed a fish! The may not sink quite as fast as your looking for, but Im a big fan of Paca Craws too - lots of action on the fall, and retrieve. Smallmouth absolutely love them.

SK Rage craw is what you need to try, multi purpose bait that works no matter how you use it. It works great as jig trailer, especially on football heads in deep water, Texas rig it and it becomes a great flipping bait and weightless is were a lot of people miss out, it has a nice sink rate and the claws have a real subtle motion on the fall, not to much action but just enough that even pressured fish will eat it.

Zoom Brush Hog.
Re: weightless plastics
RI sweet beavers in the CA420 color is killer for me flippin docks at my lake with no visibility. I have to go weightless to make the action extra slow.
Re: weightless plastics
Gambler Big EZ on a Gami 6/0 Superline or Monster EWG hook. Just cas it out and let it sit there for a minute Or two and if nonhits then swim it or drag it a few feet and repeat. Can also straight retrieve it or speed it up and wake it like a buzz bait. My favorite color is Five O which is like a dark watermelon and has a strong garlic scent. Seen bass actually come up, mouth it and then swim off with it. Haven't used it on bed fish but would probably excel there, as well. Not the cheapest but with Mend It, should catch several quality fish on it. Also works good on a belly weighted swimbait hook.

The Jackall Sasuteki craw is a little heavier and larger if desired.
