Current Favorite T-Rig Worm & Hook ?

Post by ChrisD46 » Thu Jun 06, 2013 9:52 am

What is your current favorite T-Rig Worm and Hook combo ?

For me , my current is a Netbait T-Mac 6.5" , Bold Bluegill color with a 3/0 Owner Twistlock Lightwire (Garry Yamamoto designed) hook ...I have great confidence with this worm and hook ! ...Recently watched a fellow fish a Kriet Tail Big Bites 6" worm - wow what action !! ...Worm looked like it had some sort of affliction the way it twitched in the water !! ...Might be my next worm to try :)

I've gotten away from worms over the last few seasons, but I still have one worm that consistently produces results
and that worm is the Hag's Tornado/ Grandebass worm styles. Texas rigged/ weightless, these worms have the shimmy
in spades and are extremely versatile. Black/ blue is my favorite color. 8-)

I was just about to post about the rattlesnake/tornado worms. They have such killer action.

Usually I fish on a 3/0 hook. If I'm shallow I'll go weightless and add weight the deeper I go.

Also want to try experimenting with the grandebass honcho. Havent found a bait quite like it yet and cant find much info on it. Even youtube doesnt have videos of it underwater.

I'm still new to them, how deep do you fish them and do you ever add weight?>

Lake Fork Baby Ring Fry with a 3/0 Gama EWG and a 3/16 oz tungsten weight. It catches them everywhere I go.

I love these baits rigged on Bass Stalker Spot Stalker jig heads, great action with a high hook-up percentage, plus
the single weed guard keeps them pretty snag resistant. I'll also swim them on superline hooks or add suspend strips
to the shank of worm hooks to get to your favorite depth. Lastly, in heavier cover, I simply texas rig with a tungsten
bullet weight. 8-)

I only use the KVD Grip Pin hooks right now unless I'm using a light wire offset for small worms.

My go-to worms are SK Thumpers and Zoom G-Tail.

Trick Worms are a staple in my bag.

Anyone used any power team lures products?

I've had pretty good luck with their texas rig jig and their ribbon hinge worm.

Amen! Big fan as well.

They don't get a lot of love in these parts, but that's OK by me. :big grin:

The ring fry is a helluva little bait. Fished weightless it's a nice change of pace to a senko. It's also my all time fave c-rig plastic.

My current favorites are an Upton's straight tail or a Roboworm straight tail when I want something smaller. I t-rig it with a Rebarb hook and a small bullet sinker. Then I shake away!

I often throw a regular old Zoom Trick Worm in green pumpkin blue or green weenie around grass patches.Rig it on a 3/0 owner riggin hook and a 1/32 or 1/16 tungsten un-pegged.Sinks slow with a nice glide and wobble to it.
