What is your favorite craw for above tactics (dragging) primarily in the cooler months ?
Berkley , Yum , Zoom seem the most realistic - but there may be others ...

Mostly Zoom Speed Craws and Paca Craws but the Rage Craw is an ok bait as well. My all time favorite is a green pumpkin Speed Craw with the claws dyed chartreuse.

Cold water draggin techniques my go to is the Berkley Chigger Craw 3". Warmer water later in the spring and early summer I mix in the Rage Craw some as well in both the regular and small size.

Paca craws or Rage craws work best for me.

On a Carolina rig, I like to drag a PowerTeam Lures Diesel Craw or a Yamamoto Hula grub.

On a texas rig, I like the PTL D'eouvre (spelling), conviction craw, 3.5 TRJ, Yamamoto Hula Grub.

If I could only have two, they'd be the PTL 3.5 TRJ and 5" Yamamoto Hula Grub. If only had two plastic baits I could fish with period, those would probably be the two.

Just tried the Havoc Rocket Craw today and it was very effective in producing bites and also proved to be very durable as well.

For colder water, I prefer a more subtle action so I use a beaver style bait. I like the strike king rodent or river bug. When the water starts to warm up it's hard to beat a speed craw or a yum mighty bug.
