Good trailer for swim jig?

I don't swim any jig but want to get into it. I've thrown a handful of times through weeds and it's awesome.

What's a good trailer (non swimbait) to make it look like shad type bait?

On bladed swim jigs aka chatterbaits, I like to use a fluke type bait, the reason being is the blade moves the body and trailer so I want a trailer with very little action as the blade will create the action I need. For a plain swim jig, I like the small soft plastic swim baits, like a Gene Larew sweet swimmer, Keitech Easy Shiner or Swing Impact, but it has to have some action because the swim jig by itself doesn't have an action. So that is what I go with and the swim bait deal with the right swim jig will give you your best shot at a shad-like profile.

For regular swim jigs I use a keitech easy shiner swim bait for shad imitations such as the silver flash or pro blue, but for sunfish imitations I use a regular not fat swim impact in the pro special color, simply because they don't make that color in the easy. I know a lot of people just use a simple grub though.

It's hard to beat a 5" single-tail grub.

I'll go grab a pack of Impacts. Might also order some GY double tail grubs.
