6" Senkos - How do you fish yours ?

Hi all,

How do you fish your 6" Senkos ? Weightless or with a bullet weight or even Wacky.

Let me know your preference and why ?

Mostly Texas rigged with an 3/16 bullet or wacky rigged, it's hard to have enough patience for true weightless.

i hear ya on the patience fishing weightless. i know how effective it is but damn it's a pain waiting for that thing to shimmy

I like using the larger senkos in the winter and deadstick them on deep points and other structure. Sometimes it takes several minutes for a cast. Ive caught some really nice bass doing this

Do you need more backbone in a Rod to fish 6" Senkos Texas Rigged over an 1/2oz jig. My thinking is the 6" Senko because you need to pull the hook through a chunk of plastic first. Let me know your preference

Mostly weightless Texas rigged over grass and let it drop in the holes.

This. There is nothing like picking off 4 pounders consistently by doing this in the winter.

Although I mostly fish the 5", I fish both sizes Texas rigged weightless 95% of the time.

Mostly texas rigged. Sometimes I even throw a weight on there to get it deep and get longer casts.
