Well, 80% of this year so far, only soft plastic (aside from trailers for scroungers and chatterbait) I have brought is Yamamoto Fat Ika. So, that's the answer. Only other soft bait I used in this year was Jackall Cover Craw. I'm more like an 80% hard bait and 20% soft bait guy. I could easily live without soft baits, if I have to.

Fat Ika or cover scat. Does everything I need them to do at my local lakes. The cover scat works good on the bottom, backsliding into cover, twitched in, hover strolling, etc. one of the only baits I throw that I can get them in most of the water column. Even had one crush it on top when I was burning it in.

Rattlesnakes FTW. I've run into a couple of folks fishing the geecrack bellows stick that hadn't heard of the rattlesnake. I'm like "They are the OG ribbed stickbait and half the price of the geecrack."
