Daiwa wins Lucky Craft not so well off
Daiwa wins Lucky Craft not so well off
Brent Ehrler gets picked up by Daiwa for sponsorship for reels (he has been using them for a while) and also rods (was using Lucky Craft).
Re: Daiwa wins Lucky Craft not so well off
It was funny to see Brent say that he uses ABU when the footage of the FLW win last year showed him using Daiwa spinning reels. I thought he might go with Daiwa when I saw him fishing a Steez flippin stick a few months back. The Lucky Craft rods he used are not very light.

Yeah I have noticed pictures of him in the past using Daiwa reels so I honestly figured it would not be long before he converted. While the LC rods were not light, my Fat Mini Magic is a very nice cranking rod and I can not see it getting replaced with anything.toddmc wrote:It was funny to see Brent say that he uses ABU when the footage of the FLW win last year showed him using Daiwa spinning reels. I watch MLF from last fall and Ehrler is using Revo casting and spinning.

I think that is the MLF where he has a Revo on a Steez rod. It was earlier in the year when he was fishing a Fuego-A spinning reel in the FLW.Johnny A wrote:toddmc wrote:It was funny to see Brent say that he uses ABU when the footage of the FLW win last year showed him using Daiwa spinning reels. I think you're correct about the Steez rod. Don't think it was the Lucky Craft rods he was using previously.toddmc wrote:I think that is the MLF where he has a Revo on a Steez rod. Re: Daiwa wins Lucky Craft not so well off
Daiwa needs to step up on sponsorship. Seems like they have been slipping since they left Denny B. Don't think they offer as much as some of the other mfgs.
Re: Daiwa wins Lucky Craft not so well off
Daiwa and Shimano both have been fairly light in the sponsorship realm..interesting that they have traditionally been the top 2 brands. Different marketing philosophies, as Pure Fishing had cornered the market on pros, in the past...and Lews has signed a large stable of guys.BigG wrote:Daiwa needs to step up on sponsorship.
