Sort of looks like a Tica Cetus.

Silstar makes the Tiny 20, it is about 4.8oz. A fun little reel but I'll stick with my Stradic Ci4 1000 or Symetre 750's. I've run a few spinmatics in my day but the Cetus SB500 blows them away.......that Cetus might be the best small reel there is valuewise.

If you are OK with old tech, Daiwa 500c. Considerably smaller than size 500 reels but not a toy. Super durable. Made in the 70s but still has a following. Brand new ones have gone for $90 plus shipping on ebay so you get an idea of the following it has. Nicely used ones are going around $35 I think. Huge drag for something so small.

If money is no object you could look at the new Daiwa Presso 1023. It is designed for 2lb to 3lb line.

Presso 1003? They no longer make that if that is what you mean.

Luvias 1003 is still in production.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the JDM Presso that goes for around 200.00. The American released reel is no longer in production but it is also nothing like the Japanese version. Bang for your buck......a serviceable UL that is both feature packed and small.....Tica Cetus Gv500, SE500, SB500......35.00 or so. Best TRUE UL reel for the money.

Actually, this is the new JDM version, which won't be available until November. MSRP is around $380 -- it'll probably sell for a fair bit less, but the $200 mark that the Iprimi model sold for is unlikely.

I don't see a reason to go extremely small with a reel. In fact, I would get the largest reel, with the largest arbor, that balances with your reel. I think the small diameter spinning reels don't cast as well as a larger diameter.

I was in fact talking about the new not yet released JDM Presso. It comes in two frame sizes and also has an "upgrade" kit coming out also (spool and handle).

Shimano Vanquish C2000S is mighty small but sure packs a punch.

The Shimano Vanquish in the following models all weight 5.6oz: 1000S, C2000S, and C2000HGS

But it seems the BPS Micro Lite Elite has everyone beat at 5.

BPS says they are 6.2oz not 5. If you removed half of the Vanquish BB and use plastic collars then it might be as light.
