Are they any goood ?
Just looking for something fairly cheap for fishing through dense brush into small streams, so I won,t cry when I break it.

The Daiwa offering would be the Spinmatic C line...they have quite a few lengths in the line, some pack rods and you get Fuji reel seats....though generic graphite and ceramic line guides. Obtainable cheap from various sources if you search about.

I have the 7'6" pack rod and an 8' 2pc UL....though it's pushing light really.

Bumping up to their new USDM Presso's would mean payimg 70-80 bucks, IIRC.

Though you might get a deal on any old Procyons you come across...these are the older pre-revamp...I recently got (2) for $45 each: IM-7 blanks, Fuji seats and guides.
