2015 Fenwick River Runner

Post by Big-Bass » Sat Aug 02, 2014 1:48 am

Looks like Fenwick updated the River Runner series along with the rest of there Elite Tech series as well as a price increase. I think I want to pick up a 6'9" light action. I cannot seem to find anyone who sells the older 6'8" light action.

I don't think they used to have an 8' rod before either. Wonder what the true cost will be once released? Direct cost is usually high to encourage buying from distributors.

If you're in the market for a L or UL rod, give these a serious look. I have the first generation and it's a fantastic stick. Fenwick nailed it with this series. I'll be giving the new ones a look myself.

I loved the smallmouth rods. I had the spinning and casting. I would have no issue buying another, although the spinning was better IMO.

They updated lengths, blanks, and even the cork is now changed...they put metal/carbon locking bars in the Tac material to keep from chipping probably.
